BIOGRAPHY
I’m a painter for whom it’s all about color.
Recent work depicts spectral creatures existing in a color-saturated world. Also, abstract images containing “suggestions of things in the visible world” – Carl Belz.
Some of my work includes sheet music, puzzle pieces, maps or Chinese language newspapers. I cannot read music (in spite of several years of piano lessons as a child) or Chinese and I have a great deal of trouble reading maps. I see these things as pattern and texture. I have also done a series that includes actual “engineering plans” from the Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel Project in Boston – those are titled Big Dig/Pyramid (subtitled The Ten Plagues).
My work has been exhibited at the Atlantic Wharf Gallery, Nave Gallery, The Artists’ Foundation, The Lillian Immig Gallery at Emmanuel College, Boston University Gallery, Bentley College Art Gallery, The Federal Reserve Bank Gallery, Artworks at Dover Street, Montserrat College of Art, Fletcher/Priest Gallery, and Mills Gallery.
I am represented in many corporate and private collections including, among others: The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, SAP America, Meditech, Boston Properties, NewBridge on the Charles, and Goodwin Proctor.
My work can also be seen at fortpointarts.org and The National Museum of Women in the Arts (Clara Database of Women Artists)
